It has been reported by the Daily Mail<\/strong><\/a> that the leaked information goes as far back as 2015 and stemmed from an employee requesting information. As part of the request, it is understood that PSL sent a memory stick to the recipient that reportedly may have contained the company\u2019s entire email server, and the recipient realised there were patient letters attached to emails.<\/p>\n

On the face of what we have seen in the media reports so far, this appears to be a monumental leak of very private and sensitive medical information. Whilst the data at the centre of this error may well have been quickly contained, this kind of information becoming exposed or being misused can cause significant damage to innocent people.<\/p>\n
