According to reports and investigations, Amazon data breach incidents are being caused by employees taking bribes for information.<\/p>\n

The news of the bribes comes at quite a sensitive time for the online marketplace platform. Amazon remains embroiled in issues over inferior and dangers products being sold after it opened its platform to a wider world audience.<\/p>\n

Some employees are reportedly being bribed to sell information to vendors on the site to give them a competitive advantage. Such information reportedly includes company data about competitors, and search engine optimisation (SEO) information.<\/p>\n

The news comes at a time when some employees are reportedly being paid to remove negative reviews for products. Conversely, people have been finding loopholes in order to create fake positive reviews as well.<\/p>\n

In an era when many online buyers rely on the views of other purchasers, this is incredibly concerning.<\/p>\n

Investigations have been launched into the reported Amazon data breach incidents.<\/p>\n

In a statement, the company said:<\/p>\n

“We hold our employees to a high ethical standard and anyone in violation of our Code faces discipline, including termination and potential legal and criminal penalties.<\/em><\/p>\n

“We have zero tolerance for abuse of our systems and if we find bad actors who have engaged in this behaviour, we will take swift action against them, including terminating their selling accounts, deleting reviews, withholding funds, and taking legal action.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Huge risk of Amazon data breach incidents in the future<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Amazon data breach incidents are a clear risk. With the size of the platform, and how it reaches to a world-wide audience, it could be hard for the company to keep control of the actions of employees and third-party vendors.<\/p>\n

It seems clear to us that more needs to be done, but just how feasible is it to get a grip of these kinds of issues and keep them under control? With some of those involved finding loopholes for being able to leave positive product reviews, Amazon may find it hard to keep its platform honest for customers.<\/p>\n
