Criminals have contacted people posing as TalkTalk, and they\u2019ve been able to convince some people that they\u2019re the real deal. They\u2019ve achieved this because they\u2019ve been able to provide personal data for the victims, including TalkTalk account information, and even details about legitimate complaints that have been made.<\/p>\n<p>We can only assume that the criminals have got hold of this information because of the 2015 breach. That\u2019s why anyone who has been targeted by fraudsters may be able to join the compensation action we\u2019ve been running for the last few years.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Claiming compensation as a victim of TalkTalk fraudsters<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The way that you may be eligible to claim compensation as a victim of TalkTalk fraudsters is if you were also a victim of the 2015 data breach.<\/p>\n<p>If we can show that it\u2019s likely that the data used by the criminals was taken from the 2015 breach, you may be able to make a claim.
