Influx of new clients sign-up to join the BA Group Action

UK Data Group Action

There has been an influx of new clients signing up to join the BA Group Action following the big hearing that took place on 4th October 2019.

News that Mr Justice Warby has given the green light for the GLO (Group Litigation Order) to proceed garnered a great deal of media attention, with Director Aman Johal giving his insight into the developments.

With news of the action getting the go ahead, a new wave of clients have started their cases via the BA Group Action website, and we’re more than happy to help them!

New wave of claimants join the BA Group Action

We’re really pleased to see a new wave of people signing up to join the BA Group Action. This GLO is all about justice for the circa half a million victims of the 2018 cyber-attacks, and we’re committed to helping as many people as we can.

Claimants that sign-up with us can benefit from our No Win, No Fee guarantee. They can also benefit from the funding and insurance that we have in place that ensures that we can take on BA in the fight for justice, and ensures that our clients are protected in the unlikely event that things don’t go right.

We’re confident that we’ll be able to succeed with the action for compensation, which is why we’re offering No Win, No Fee arrangements.

Deadline to join

The hearing also confirmed that the deadline to join the BA Group Action is looking to be set for January 2021.

This is a big improvement on the time frame that the lawyers for British Airways had originally desired, which would have been just 17 weeks. We warned that this could lead to hundreds of thousands of people missing out on the chance to claim the compensation that they deserve.

However, don’t be fooled into thinking that you now have plenty of time and that you don’t need to act now. We always recommend that you start your case as soon as you can so you can then be in the know as to what’s going on – as it happens.

We also need to fully prepare cases ahead of the deadline as well. You may need to gather evidence and information, and there may even be settlement opportunities that arise as well.
